Well, it happened the day that we recorded, and THUS our files were lost in the spaaaaace!!! We almost didn’t have an episode this week. And that broke all of our hearts :( But happy happy joy joy we got the files! (Because we have THE BEST editor ever.) And the episode is a day late BUT it’s OUT! Wahoo! We get into a pretty phenomenal discussion around feedback that we received for a past episode…remember? The one about getting fired because of your podcast? We introduce y’all to the coolest concept ever, called ‘transmedia storytelling’ which Elsie adores, and who knew it was a thing? Show 116 Super Quick Re-cap!

The title of this episode breaks my heart SO MUCH! And, the most most important thing…there is a blooper at the end of the episode. It turns out that I was on a tirade and Jess had muted herself and had forgotten and thus I was getting silence with no responses for like ever and it was awkward. Turns out, she was talking but since she was muted…well, you get the idea. The blooper, is AFTER she comes back into the conversation. #priceless We get into some some pretty deep discussions about bandwidth, infrastructure, media consumption and podcast content ownership. As always, we’d love for you to weigh in on the conversation! Show 115 Super Quick Re-cap!

Communicate with us via Twitter by using the hashtag #AskSheP and of course follow us on Twitter It took us FOREVER to get this episode recorded. I (Elsie) almost threw in the hat. Truly. How many tries until you simply can’t do it? Well, if I wouldn’t have had Jessica to push a tiny bit more, I would have called it quits. Speeds. Connectivity. We all take it for granted. We do have a jammed packed conversation as always discussing a ton of news but then we get to a key story that really gave us stuff to talk about! What if you lost your job because of your podcast? What if you were judged solely on what you put out on your podcast? When does podcast life affect real life and the type of work we do? Our digital content stays out there forever people! Show 114 Super Quick Re-cap!

Is our culture suffering because we are no longer connecting and we are simply commenting on each other’s lives without any true engagement? Are we losing the art small talk? And does that matter? We do our best to unpack how all of this plays out in our own lives and circumstances and why it matters to all of us. And there’s italian ice involved, because sometimes you just need to cool off a little bit. Show 113 Super Quick Re-cap!
