Apple announces the launch of Podcasts Delegated Delivery later this year and the retirement of the iPod, a Women’s Podcast Festival in the UK, Elsie is interviewed by Pod Chat and will be at PODWORK and much more! On Monday, May 16, Apple announced: Apple Podcasts Delegated Delivery in Partnership with Libsyn slated for launch later this year. This partnership will provide easier submission of new shows (and premium content) to Apple Podcasts from participating podcast hosts. Apple Podcast Delegated Delivery is a new feature that will allow creators to upload, manage, and distribute their premium audio through participating third-party hosting providers. Delegated Delivery reduces operational tasks for podcast subscriptions so that creators can focus on making and marketing their work. Apple is retiring the iPod Touch. Would podcasting be where it is today without the iPod?
